About the project
Built for collectors
CrateCloud is a simple home for the records you own, the ones you want, and the story your collection tells over time. No spreadsheets, no noise — just your crates, organized.
It’s a web app for people who still flip jackets, read liner notes, and care which pressing they own. You can browse your collection, keep tabs on estimated value, maintain a wishlist, and open a record detail view when you want to focus on one album.
Think of it as a calm dashboard beside your turntable — inspired by tools like Discogs, but stripped down for learning, demos, and everyday use.
Today and what’s next
Add and browse your vinyl with cover art and clean album metadata.
See rough estimates per record and a total for the shelf — handy for insurance or bragging rights.
Track titles you’re hunting so your next crate-dig has a hit list.
Drill into a single release when you want the slow look, not the grid view.
Filter and search across artist, title, and format — on the roadmap as the library grows.
Physical collections deserve a digital twin that respects the ritual: filing, flipping, and remembering where you found that first pressing.
CrateCloud started as a small project to practice building a cohesive site — navigation, collection views, and forms that feel intentional. The goal is an easy-to-use place to organize vinyl, watch the collection grow, and keep wishlist energy alive between record-store trips.
